Man Arrested For Trying To Steal Money From Accounts Of Dead Couple

Police hunting the killer of British pensioners Charlie and Gayle Anderson in Jamaica have charged a man with fraud and stealing money from their accounts.

Saquino Farr, 24, is accused of seven counts of obtaining goods by means of false pretence and conspiracy to defraud.

The police say Farr, whose mother worked as a domestic helper for the victims, 74-year-old Charlie Anderson, and his wife Gayle, 71, allegedly stole more than £46,000 from their credit card accounts and then went shopping.

‘The police have charged a young man whose family was known to the Anderson family. His mother knew the deceased couple very well and was always in their house helping them out.

‘She looked after their property for them and also helped out with domestic chores in and around the house.’ said the source.’She was paid well to worked for them.’

Farr is to appear in the Portland Parish Court next Tuesday.

The partially burnt bodies of the elderly British couple were found at their home in Mount Pleasant on Friday, June 22.

The police investigating the murder have theorised the pensioners were killed to thwart the investigation into the fraud.

Charlie and Gayle Anderson, aged 74 and 71, were ‘pillars of the community’ and ‘hugely popular and loved by many’, their two sons said.

The couple had been married for 55 years and recently retired to Mount Pleasant, Jamaica, after living in Manchester.

Meanwhile, Officers will question him further after his court appearance said a police source.
