Terry Pays Tribute To ‘Great Man, Great Manager’ Conte
Chelsea legend, John Terry, has paid tribute to Antonio Conte after the Italian was relieved of his managerial duties by club on Thursday.
Conte’s three-year deal with the Blues has been cut short with former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri set to succeed him.
The former Juventus coach won the Premier League title in his first season, but that initial success was soured by an off-the-field power struggle over the club’s transfer policy.
Chelsea were unable to defend their title, finishing fifth in the table and missing out on Champions League.
Their FA Cup triumph over Manchester United would prove to be his final match in charge.
That title-winning season in 2016-17 was John Terry’s final campaign at the club, and the former Blues captain has taken to Instagram to pay tribute to his old boss.
Attached to a picture of himself and Conte celebrating their title success, he wrote: “Thank you boss. Great man, great manager.”
“I wish you every success in the future.”
